Arthroscopic Pins

Carbon fiber pins are used in bioprothetics for regenerating defective cartilage zones. The pins aid bio-implanting in this minimally-invasive technique. They stimulate the growth of chondroblasts in the defective area, these being responsible for the formation of fibrous cartilage tissue. Schunk has developed a special material with excellent bio-compatibility for this purpose.
