Insulation superstructures

Carbon materials in the form of carbon and graphite felts have proved their effectiveness in the insulation of high-temperature furnaces.
Schunk also supplies graphite felts in a purified form for applications where the highest standards of cleanliness are required (e.g. in the semiconductor industry). Graphite felts are usually wrapped around CFC supporting tubes, or are used as self-supporting hard felt cylinders under the trade name Oxatherm™.
